Bitcoin for Charity

Bitcoin as a peer-to-peer currency without intermediaries can be used for charity. Giving donations directly to the recipient without intermediaries, becomes easier and of course transparent without cheating. Although we can donate Bitcoin anywhere both individuals and organizations. A mosque in Britain’s capital is willing to receive your donation - in bitcoin. The Shacklewell Lane Mosque in Dalston, east London, has decided to accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in a bid to widen its donor base and cut down on currency conversion fees, mosque leaders said.

Donations in the form of crypto are also accepted by one of the crowdfunding platforms from Indonesia, Ayobantu. Ayobantu CEO Agnes Yuliavitriani said that Ayobantu, as a fundraising startup, accepts bitcoin as a form of donation. With the presence of crypto, this will make it easier for people who want to donate and share goodness. The Ayobantu party just needs to convert from crypto assets to local money. Donations with crypto will facilitate and speed up transactions as well as transparency in accordance with the characteristics of blockchain technology itself.

One of the digital asset trading platforms, Zipmex Indonesia, is raising funds through the #ZMTuntukNTT program. This movement is Zipmex's campaign for Indonesia, a movement whose vision is to help victims of the Seroja cyclone disaster in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Unlike conventional charities, where the progress of a program is difficult to verify, smart contracts on blockchain can be used to ensure that donations are only channeled to organizations when they can prove that what they are doing is making a good impact. Failure to reach the target may even result in the donation being revoked. This concept has been tested by St Mungo's. charity for the homeless in London. St Mungo's teamed up with blockchain platform Alice to launch a fundraiser with the aim of raising $66,000 to help 15 homeless people rebuild their lives. In this program, donors can monitor the progress of the homeless by verified progress by local authorities.
